Quality is a perceptual, conditional and somewhat subjective attribute which should be maintained at every level of system.
anshuman
Quality education means that the majority of the students is able to meet the expectation of the minimum level of learning like creative thinking, problem solving skills, life skills, etc. It is not restricted to any school. There are ample amount of schools (rural, urban or semi-urban)successfully providing quality education with utilising their available resource.

Is Quality Schooling restricted to the Brand Names in the School Sector that have come up with franchising of educational shops? In India, the education is in the Concurrernt List of the Constitution. And all the state as well as the central governments are hell bent on destroying the educational fabric which is now restricted to qualifications and capability to grab an easy going teaching job. The ability to teach, the aptitude of teaching and the right kind of attitude has taken a back seat. So, how can teaching remain qualitative. The governments and the managements are simply playing the numbers game. The only quality in schooling remains in the quality of education of parents who burn their midnight oils so that their wards can really excel in the examination oriented scenario. The majority, and I repeat, the MAJORITY of teachers are not even worthy of permission to enter the sacred precinct of our educational edifices. God save our school going aspirants! AK

How does one measure the aptitude or attitude of a teacher towards facilitating children's growth. And how can we deny the fact that money does make the world go round. In my opinion in current times, it's about finding the right balance, of the type of learning and the investment a parent makes for their child's life

I feel that the relationship of the teacher/student should be on the samepage so to speak of being independent. Cost is pending on each individuals performance ?
Bonnie Chouinard
Quality schooling means that teacher is satisfied with student's performance and students are satisfied with teacher's performance and both are satiesfied with themselves. Its independent of cost.

like healthcare it should be paid through taxes for QUALIFIED people. This is why we are eons behind other countries frankly and good heartedly speaking the truth!

why look at it this way describing teacher student ratio a good speaker can leave a hall filled with people spellbound so why can a teacher not do it, it all depends on teachers zeal.

Quality Education is a mandatory thing to be in schools now as a return to explore the world in return of the high fees being charged by the parents. One must think over it. What is needed is a REFUND policy in view of the Quality "Satisfaction of Parents and Teachers"

There is no doubt about the student should get the high class quality schooling, because that would become the base for the child/student for his/her whole life.

The cost of Quality Schooling is debatable with the prevalent education environment. The corridors that once made the best learned students, today ask for a cost and tame popular brats.
Mihir
quality education means that education must be able to prepare students for there future and for quality education we must focus on quality faculty and the teaching methodology.

The cost of Quality Schooling is debatable with the prevalent education environment. The corridors that once made the best learned students, today ask for a cost and tame popular brats. Great! that atleast now, eyes have opened to quality schooling and are searching for means to attain it. This will have to face the cost and rage of knowledge and wisdom invariably. I believe that it has confined itself to boundaries that do not understand student caliber and have left behind the light and strength of schooling. Quantity versus quality, costs versus cost of achievement should rather be questioned to get the right answer.

Quality educaution is not necessary in govt sec only it can be good in private sectors also, but depends what kind of faculty , so called educautionists are there. That means prolem lies inside and...... SUNITA RAINA

Quality of education has no relation to the cost.In other words, cost does not ensure quality. The quality of staff, the values propogated by the mgmt.and creates quality. Most of the successful people today have come from very "ordinary" schools,I call them ordinary because they are not expensive. We should not look to create merit with money but we should create merit by giving Quality.
Pradeep Meshram
Schools must be places where students learn to learn rather than teachers imparting and delivering knowledge. learning to do, learning to live and learning to learn is what is a school.

Quality in Education has been severely hampered by the mushrooming of so-called Professional Institutions in the Private Sector. There is no harm in the privatization as such, but the problem lies in maintaining the standards. Too much of Red tapism in the establishment of institutions has led to corruption, compromising with quality, etc. The solution, perhaps, lies in letting the market forces decide about the costing scenario. Good education + Quality education definitely comes at a higher costing where no government funding is there. Expectations from the privated promoters is too high than the institutions established in the government sector, which are severely lacking in infrastructure, commitment and required dedication. A. Quality education is crucial and is not dependant on cost. We must go towards more interactive mode of education where teachers are facilitators. Vinay

from where you did your schooling doesn't matter much because almost everyschool is serving the same dish so the only thing that makes difference is the way you takes it and that which way you wanna take your life so you pays only what you wants to pay.
Nidhi
Where did the term "quality schooling" begin? Who first used the expression?

In present days Quality Education is nowhere. only thing that matters is "PROFIT" but under the name of "NOT FOR PROFIT ORGANIZATION" it is so because today education is not a tradition. its buissness.

Today, the number of educational institutions run by the private sector is growing at the cost of diminishing opportunities for those coming from the marginalized sections of our society. In the name of quality education, we find high fee structures, air conditioned class rooms, and the exclusion of children from spaces of learning. As a result of negligence of government schools on one hand and unaffordable fee structures in private schools on the other, many children are denied their right to education. I feel we must make education accessible in order to achieve the aim of providing quality education. If a school ensures that all children who want education are given the opportunity to avail it without having to face any constraints or discrimination related to fees, social status, and demonstrates that education is their motive and not profit, we will be able to hope for a brighter future.

Educationakl Instituions by Uneducated entrepreneures, religious muds, the politician, greedy people, students who would like to get degree with out acquiring knowledge, teachers who with out commitment would like to earn salary, university professors who are working with ego, the old System of education with new colors - the corruptive buracratic educational authorities, politically motivated vice-chancellors .....THE INDIAN SYSTEM OF EDUCATION. Where is quality?

It's neither student-teacher ration or co-curricular activities. It's an end to quest of knowing. Understanding the purpose of life.

i wish i could say much, but the truth is i want my child to get the best and i am ready to pay whatever it takes. I don't see i have a choice like thousands of other parents.

assigning cost to education is unfair....it is above materialistic things....one that is sacred and pure...child's first school can make or break his career, his life....the foundation has to be solid and than only the building can wheather all storms....for me an institution that is in being for monetary gains through education is a complete no no....RK Missions, Jesuit Missionaries, convent schools, trusts ....exist and are committed to the cause of the child....big play grounds, perfect culture, quality education, innovative and engaging co-curricular activities all in a combo and yhet economic....their levels are unprecedented....if my child cannot get into one of the above i would then want an alternative that is atleast closest to them with their level of quality....will settle for nothing less...and will pay nothing more....i went to on e such school and will ensure my child gets better education than me
aakash bhushan
Schools are becoming expensive with every passing year with corporates looking at it as huge business opportunity....the other side is no good either as govt schools lack the basic requirement of quality education...for me overall grooming of the child is important at affordabale cost....with little good options around parents often compromise on daily spending to provide good education to their child....i want a school where my kid can grow to become a better human being with best human values , knowledge that will enable him to face the world with utmost confidenc...while i can heive a sigh of relief till his schooling days are over ....good overall education that is not too heavy on the pocket is the need of the hour....and how i wish that something as revolutionary as my thoughts happens....sure the day will come
